Our Story

The roots of CODINA Textile Machinery trace back to 1996, when Antonio Pagès Codina began his career at Galan Textile Machinery as Sales Area Manager, expanding into European markets. Just three years later, he was promoted to Commercial Director, leading a dedicated sales team and building an international network of representatives. Under his leadership, Galan grew significantly, moving from €1M annual turnover in 1999 to €5M by 2021.

Overcoming Challenges

During this period, Antonio navigated key challenges in the industry, including a commercial conflict with a competitor that eventually led to its closure in 2008. This turning point contributed to the creation of Twistech, a new company with fresh ownership. Despite these changes, Antonio continued his commercial leadership at Galan until 2010, when the company shifted focus towards maintaining recurring clients and trade fairs, reducing the need for expansive commercial roles.

With over 25 years of industry experience, Antonio contributes his deep expertise, while his son Víctor brings a modern perspective through branding, communication, and corporate identity. Together, they embody the balance of tradition and innovation, building a business designed to transcend generations. CODINA is not only a response to market needs but also a legacy project, rooted in dedication, creativity, and family values.

The Foundation of CODINA

On November 4, 2022, CODINA Textile Machinery was founded, born from a clear market opportunity. While Galan focused solely on ring-twisting machines, CODINA partnered with MEERA (India) to offer a broader range of solutions, including both ring-twisting and two-for-one twisting machines for finer yarns. Later, CODINA expanded further by representing AKI, a specialist in machines for thicker yarns and ropes up to 50 mm. This diversification allows CODINA to cover the entire spectrum of yarn and rope machinery, from the finest filaments to heavy industrial cords.
